Belstone recorded their third consecutive win in the Buckley Cup 20-20 evening competition last week when they overcame Tedburn St Mary at Rew Meadow.  With openers Richard Drake and Phil Woods both scoring rapidly before retiring on 25 apiece Belstone had 66 on the board before they lost their first wicket in the eleventh over.  James Walker claimed two quick middle order wickets before Andrew Paterson (20), Scott Tremain (10 not out) and Johnny Carter (13 not out) took the home side to 110 for three after their 20 oversTedburn started slowly as both openers fell with only two runs on the board.  Walker held the innings together until he retired on 25 but the visitors were unable to increase the run rate in the face of an accurate Belstone attack, the pick of which was Paterson’s two for 13 and Matt Dennis with two for 15, so the game eventually petered out with Tedburn still 31 runs short of their target.
