Final game of the season - Belstone made a slow start to their final game of the season on Sunday when they were put in to bat by visitors Harberton and accurate bowling by Darren Stibbs, Keith Shepherd and Barry Goldsmith restricted their score to 39 for two after 15 overs .....read more  


   

Dartington - Not for the first time this season Belstone threw away a match-winning position in their penultimate game of the season against Dartington by losing nine wickets for 57 runs after having been comfortably placed in a run chase at 67 for one .....read more

Dunsford - Last Sunday Dunsford visited Rew Meadow for a game where both innings followed a remarkably similar pattern of early wickets and late middle-order partnerships.  Dunsford began badly when opener Sharland chipped his first ball from Harry Bushin to square leg .....read more


Final BBC game - The following evening Belstone’s Buckley Cup season ended with a visit to Tedburn St Mary where they amassed a formidable 150 for six (their highest 20 over score since August 2000) thanks to entertaining stroke-play from Phil Woods .....read more


Last over thriller - For the fourth time in two weeks Belstone were involved in an edge-of-the-seat last-over thriller, this time when they visited Spreyton on 8 August for a Buckley Cup Twenty20 match.  Richard Drake made the game look easy for Belstone, knocking up 27 runs .....read more


Valuable Points - Finally in a busy ten days Belstone completed the double over bottom-placed Ashburton in the South Devon League Division Two last Sunday with a convincing six wicket victory.  Ashburton lost three quick wickets before Coon (46) and Caunter (38 not out) .....read more


Walsh's Day - Last Saturday at Rew Meadow saw a splendid game of cricket in the inaugural C&G Trophy fixture between Belstone and a select XI chosen by local tradesman Chris Walsh of C&G Plastering Services.  Johnny Coburn got the select XI off to a rollicking start .....read more


Sticklepath - Twenty20 Buckley Cup action continued last Thursday when Sticklepath visited Rew Meadow.  All the top five of Belstone’s batting order contributed useful runs with Phil Woods, Chris Walpole and Chris Gomersall all retiring on 25 as the total reached 119 for five .....read more
